Free Chlorine High Range for water quality testing combines a wide range of detection with our patented Free Chlorine indicator which does not bleach out, even at levels above 2000 ppm. With its wide range of detection, from 0-120 ppm (mg/L), Free Chlorine High Range is perfect for determining whether or not you have the correct amount of sanitizer present. Because all of the reagents are impregnated on the test strip pad, and no external chemicals are needed to perform the test, Free Chlorine High Range is perfect to take directly out onto the shop floor.

Why test for Free Chlorine High?

For best results, run test immediately after collecting a fresh water sample. Ideal Free Chlorine levels kill and neutralize all bacteria in the water. Diluted chlorine bleach solutions and water are a common and cost-effective method for sanitizing equipment in food processing operations. These methods are very effective in killing undesirable microorganisms. Chlorine bleach solutions may also be used for sanitizing raw fruits and vegetables during the washing or peeling process. Processors should be aware that there are regulations concerning the use of this sanitizer. Chlorine bleach that is used for making a sanitizing solution, whether for equipment or raw produce, must be tested to be categorized as a food grade substance.
